Zoey is a human rights activisr living in Cape Town, South Africa.
She is a Human Rights Activist, Facilitator and Blogger.
Zoey graduated from the University of Cape Town as a trained professional actress, and specialised in live performance, production management, public speaking, the ability to network, peer and group facilitation, and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
She works for Gender Dynamix, a non-profit organisation with a focus on championing human rights for trans and gender diverse persons and communities in Southern Africa. Zoey is the organisation’s National Advocacy Officer and leads the legal, policy and educational reform initiatives and projects. She is responsible for conceptualising, implementing and conducting educational workshops and also represents the organisation in various media and political spaces.
In addition, she is studying towards a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of South Africa (UNISA), with intentions to enhance her capacity to further assist vulnerable persons and communities in accessing their rights, as well as contributing to the development of policy and legislation which will enhance, promote and protect the rights of vulnerable members of society.
